Description

The Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is a formidable expedition designed for seasoned trekkers seeking solitude and a true wilderness experience. Starting from Beni, the trail meanders through traditional Magar villages, dense rhododendron forests, and alpine meadows. As you ascend, the landscape transforms into a high-altitude realm of glaciers and snowfields. The journey includes crossing the challenging French and Dhampus Passes, offering panoramic vistas of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. The trek also leads you through the Hidden Valley, a remote and serene plateau surrounded by towering peaks. This circuit is less frequented, ensuring a tranquil environment where nature's grandeur takes center stage.

Trip FAQ's

The ideal seasons are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is stable and the views are clear.
This is a strenuous trek suitable for experienced trekkers with good physical fitness, due to its remote location and high altitudes.
Trekkers need the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and a TIMS card.
Accommodations range from basic teahouses in villages to camping in more remote areas.
While it's possible, hiring a guide is highly recommended for safety and navigation through remote areas.
